SIWELLA

Questions and answers

First use, replacement, storage and choosing SIWELLA. General miswak information is distinguished from information about our product.

First use and replacement

How do I start using miswak: where does the brush come from?

On a traditional miswak stick, separated fibres at the end form the brush. This explains why a smooth stick does not yet look like a toothbrush. SIWELLA uses a short replacement stick in a holder. Preparation, wetting and fitting need instructions for this specific format; SIWELLA’s step-by-step instructions are not yet published. Do not transfer a long-stick trimming method to the short stick.

General information source
Does SIWELLA replace a toothbrush?

No. It provides additional care during the day. SIWELLA does not replace brushing your teeth in the morning and evening.

Should I trim the stick or replace it with the case?

No. The case is reusable. Replace the whole stick; the case is designed for SIWELLA replacement sticks.

How long does one stick or a pack of 10 last?

10 sticks is the pack quantity, not a promise of 10 days or a month of care. SIWELLA replaces the whole stick and retains the case. Uses per stick and routine replacement criteria are not yet established, so a monthly supply or cost per day cannot currently be calculated reliably. Compare pack contents and pack price, rather than an assumed duration.

Storage and packaging

Should I wash and dry miswak before closing the case?

A carrying case alone does not define how to care for a wet stick. For ordinary toothbrushes, the ADA recommends rinsing and air drying: a closed, moist environment promotes microbial growth. This is general toothbrush information, not a validated SIWELLA routine. Washing, drying and reuse instructions for our stick and case are not yet approved; a closed cap should not be assumed to replace drying.

General information source
Do I need to open all 10 sticks at once?

No. The planned packaging has two levels: each stick in its own vacuum pack, with 10 packs in an outer sachet. Opening the outer sachet does not require opening the remaining individual packs. Vacuum packaging is not a claim of sterility. SIWELLA’s shelf life and storage conditions are not yet published; the number of sticks does not determine shelf life.

Smell, fibres and comfort

Why does miswak have a smell or bitter taste—is that normal?

Salvadora persica miswak contains compounds that contribute to its smell and taste; a plant product is not necessarily neutral-tasting. A characteristic smell does not prove freshness, nor does bitterness prove quality. This is general plant information. SIWELLA’s acceptable smell and taste profile is not yet published, so an unusual or unpleasant smell cannot automatically be treated as normal. Smell alone cannot establish that a stick is fit for use.

General information source
What if miswak is hard and does not form a brush?

Hardness does not mean you should press harder against your teeth. The ADA’s general toothbrush advice is soft bristles and gentle pressure. It does not define how to soften SIWELLA: we do not yet publish a soaking time or a promise of stick softness. If preparation is unclear, do not guess the force or soaking time—first obtain instructions for the specific stick.

Fibres crumble or get stuck between my teeth. What should I do?

Do not continue brushing with a stick that leaves painful fragments. For routine interdental hygiene, the NHS recommends floss or interdental brushes and advises against wooden toothpicks. This is not a splinter-removal procedure: if a fragment will not come out or there is pain, consult a dentist. Acceptable shedding for SIWELLA has not yet been established; we do not describe trapped fibres as normal or a sign of effective cleaning.

General information source
Can I use it with sensitive or bleeding gums?

Bleeding and pain should not be dismissed as getting used to miswak. The NHS advises seeing a dentist for bleeding or painful swollen gums; severe pain and swelling need an urgent assessment. This is general advice, not a diagnosis. With sensitive gums or braces, discuss oral-care tools with your dentist: SIWELLA’s suitability for these situations is not yet confirmed.

Does SIWELLA whiten teeth or eliminate bad breath?

We do not claim that SIWELLA whitens teeth, treats gums or eliminates the causes of bad breath. A fresh feeling, a change in tooth colour and treatment are different outcomes; a flavour name establishes none of them. SIWELLA is intended for additional care during the day. Studies of other miswak formats cannot establish the effects of our sticks.

Choosing SIWELLA

Why a case if I can use an ordinary miswak stick?

SIWELLA combines a reusable case with short replacement sticks: the stick is replaced while the holder and cap remain. It is a carrying-format choice, not a requirement for using miswak. If an ordinary stick suits you, the case does not make that a wrong choice. We do not promise that SIWELLA cleans better or costs less.

How does the kit differ from a pack of sticks?

The SIWELLA kit contains 1 case and 10 Original Miswak sticks. A replacement pack contains 10 sticks of your chosen flavour.

Can I select a case on its own, without sticks?

1 reusable SIWELLA case: holder and cap.

Will an ordinary miswak or another brand’s stick fit the case?

The case is designed for SIWELLA replacement sticks. Similar appearance or diameter does not establish compatibility: fit and retention matter, including after wetting. Compatibility with other sticks is not confirmed, so do not select the case as a universal holder.

Which flavours are in the range?

The range includes six options: Original Miswak · Soft Mint · Polar Mint · Warm Cinnamon · Icy Cherry · Lime Frost

Does the flavour name tell me the ingredients and origin?

No. A name distinguishes catalogue options but is not an ingredient list: it does not establish additives, allergens, flavour intensity or the raw material’s country of origin. Full ingredients and batch origin for SIWELLA are not yet published. If you need to avoid a particular ingredient, wait for that option’s ingredient list; “natural” alone does not establish its absence.
